For League of Legends, 240Hz may be overkill, and the difference may be unnoticeable. Regardless, it is faster than other 144Hz and can be used for other games, such as FPS games.

Right off the bat, the monitors exclude screen-tearing and have MBR technology (motion blur reduction) which helps when you're moving around sporadically (and fast) in-game.
It features an ultra-wide curved screen, which allows you to see more of your game world at once without having to scroll or use a mouse.
It comes with a low input lag of about ~4ms, which means you will have no noticeable differences between your inputs to the screen.
In addition to the reduced input lag is MPRT which stands for "Moving Picture Response Time." This is a feature that significantly reduces ghosting.
The downside to this monitor is that it has noticeable ghosting looking at fast-moving objects during darker scenes.
If you are sensitive to ghosting, you will be able to notice it - but if you don't know what ghosting is or haven't experienced it, you will be able to tolerate it.

When the Acer Predator XB241H first came out, the price point was solid. You were able to use G-Sync (at the time, not compatible with AMD GPUs), which was why it's priced so high.
But now that G-Sync is compatible with AMD cards, the value of this monitor does go down, and newer monitors (with bigger screens) can be bought at this price point.
Overall, for League of Legends, this is a monitor that will give you 0 screen tearing and stuttering and a high and stable FPS.

The monitor has a TN panel that delivers a crisp image with deep blacks, but it can be difficult to see in dark environments because of the TN's narrow viewing angles.
Although this is addressed by their black eQualizer technology, which is designed to help see darker environments.
The monitor also has many customizable settings for those who are looking to personalize their gaming experience.

The ASUS VG248QE 24" 144Hz Gaming Monitor is a very popular 1080p, 144Hz gaming monitor that has been around for a while.
It is a 24-inch monitor that includes a 144Hz refresh rate with only ~5ms of input lag.
From a gamer's perspective, that is excellent performance and great for a game like League of Legends.
The monitor uses a TN panel which means it has a great response time, but it has lowered viewing angles and color quality.
The VG24QE also has a 1ms response time which means extremely minimal ghosting and trailing rapidly moving objects.
Additionally, you also have built-in speakers, which is a bonus and save you money and time buying external speakers.
The downside to this monitor is the age. At the time of its release, it was a great deal priced around $270+.
At this price point, you can find monitors that include G-Sync/FreeSync if that's your preference.
But if you're not at the liberty of spending upwards of $300+, this is a very decent performing monitor that will bode well with a game like League of Legends.

The Alienware range is one of my favorites when it comes to gaming monitors, and it's because they consistently provide quality products to suit high-performance gamers, such as myself.
The AW3420DW comes with a 34" Ultrawide 21:9 Curved IPS display with 3440x1440 (WQHD) resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate.
The refresh rate itself is perfect for its screen size (34"), although it won't be as fast as your smaller 24" or 27" monitors, which can get up to 144Hz - 240Hz refresh rates.

This screen resolution is definitely overkill for League of Legends specifically and is too big for regular play.

A larger monitor screen will give you a better gaming experience than a smaller one.
For League of Legends specifically, you may want to opt for smaller screen size.
For some gamers, the 27" screen size is too big, and you will need to move your mouse far to move your camera.
If you want to save money and still have a great gaming experience - a 24" monitor will suffice.
If you don't mind switching to a monitor with larger real estate, you will need to get used to having bigger movements when playing League.
Whether you play League of Legends or not, upgrading to a high-resolution monitor will change how your games look on your screen.
The difference between low and high resolutions is staggering when it comes down to League of Legends...
In fact, having lower quality can be distracting for gamers who are playing multiple games daily.
League of Legends by no means is a heavy-resource game. You could run the game on a potato computer if you wanted to.
So the better your resolution, the more you can appreciate the aesthetics of the game.
Refresh rates are easy to feel as it is one of the prime features that determines the amount of input lag you have.
The higher the refresh rate, the more responsive your game will be, and the lower the input lag.
When it comes to general game settings, it's always best to reduce the amount of input lag (performance) over choosing graphics.
Unless the game is designed for you to appreciate its graphics quality and environment, opting for higher performance is always better (especially for PVP or Tactical FPS games where every second counts).
For refresh rates, we would recommend a minimum of 144Hz.
Most budget gamers will have the standard 60Hz, which comes in most regular (cheaper) monitors...
So 144Hz will be an incredible upgrade, and you will feel a noticeable difference.
You can opt for the 240Hz refresh rate monitor if you have the budget for it, but it's definitely overkill for a game like League of Legends...
And you will need a graphics card to get a consistent FPS (frames per second).
So to get the best bang for your buck, a 144Hz refresh rate is the way to go - the only exception would be if you play more than just League (especially for FPS games).
Panel types can be broken down into it's simplest forms:
Response times is the delay it takes for your input to show up on your screen.
So when you right-click to auto-attack an enemy, your response time will be how fast your click responds in-game.
For the most part, decent quality gaming monitors with refresh rates of 144Hz have response times of 1ms ~ 3ms, which is ideal.
The faster your response time, the lower your input lag, and those milliseconds can be the difference between one auto-attack winning the game.
It's impossible to find a monitor with 0ms response time, so find one with the fastest response time possible.
If you can run League of Legends on 144 FPS or higher, then yes, you should turn on these features.
NVIDIA G Sync/FreeSync will reduce screen tearing if you come across those problems.
But in terms of responsiveness and smoothness of gameplay, NVIDIA G Sync/FreeSync may be hit or miss.
For general games, I would recommend a higher FPS over the use of NVIDIA G Sync (and capping your FPS to 144 to make NVIDIA G Sync/FreeSync work).
Faker uses the ASUS TUF VG27AQL1A 27" 170Hz Gaming Monitor.
It is an older model of the TUF monitor series and is one of the higher-quality monitors.

1920 x 1080 is the best resolution to play League of Legends because it gives enough room for your screen not to be too small...
